Al-Rasheed Development Center concluded the month of October by participating, for the second year in a row, in organizing the “Women’s Health in the Community” event, held at GYM 650. This participation comes as part of the Center’s ongoing efforts to enhance women’s health awareness and shed light on breast cancer and the importance of early detection as one of the most effective tools for prevention and timely diagnosis.
The event aimed to disseminate knowledge related to breast cancer and link it to healthy lifestyle practices, particularly the role of exercise and proper nutrition in supporting women’s physical and mental well-being, in line with internationally recognized holistic health approaches.
The event witnessed broad female attendance, along with participation from representatives of various public, private, and civil society institutions—reflecting growing societal interest in women’s health issues and the importance of multi-stakeholder partnerships in strengthening health awareness.
The program included a range of awareness and educational activities, such as dialogue sessions and presentations delivered by specialized doctors, covering the latest information on breast cancer, prevention methods, and the importance of regular and early screening. The event also featured powerful personal stories from women who had experienced and overcome cancer, aiming to break the social stigma associated with the disease and promote early screening as a normal, life-saving health practice.
Al-Rasheed Development Center emphasized that its participation aligns with its broader vision of supporting and empowering women’s health, and enhancing community awareness of priority health issues through collaborative initiatives that combine awareness-raising, psychological support, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
The Center reaffirms its commitment to continuing collaboration with health institutions, sports organizations, and civil society partners to build a more informed community, and to empower women with access to knowledge and health services that improve their quality of life and long-term well-being.
