Al-Rasheed Development Center held a seminar as part of the Al-Rasheed Forum series, within its women’s empowerment projects aimed at strengthening women’s role in society, titled: “United Voices to Combat Harassment.”

عقد مركز الرشيد للتنمية ضمن سلسلة جلسات ملتقى الرشيد ندوة ضمن مشاريع تمكين المرأة وتعزيز دورها في المجتمع بعنوان “أصوات متحدة للحد من ظاهرة التحرش”، وذلك بهدف مناقشة دوافع ومسببات التحرش وفاعلية الإجراءات القانونية في تقليل هذه الظاهرة في مجتمعنا.
The event was attended by a distinguished group of experts and individuals concerned with the issue of harassment. Many questions were raised and answered by Brigadier General Ghalib Al-Attiyah, Director of the Community Police, and Ms. Sara Jassim, a human rights advocate. The session’s main topics addressed the key social and legal obstacles that must be tackled to contribute to the reduction of this phenomenon. The seminar was an important opportunity to shed light on the challenges facing efforts to reduce the prevalence of harassment and to present effective solutions to address this problem in our society.
